“More than fifty applications for this particular business, sponsored migrants and their family members to date the client has renewed their contract for 3 consecutive years”

We were instructed by a global IT and business consultancy company headquartered in Japan to handle all of their Tier 2 sponsorship matters and become the named legal representative on their SMS as well as a level 1 user with the permission of the Authorising Officer.

The company had already obtained a sponsor licence under the Tier 2 General category and due to the high volume of migrant worker hires, needed specialist assistance and support in ensuring onboarding of sponsored workers ran smoothly and compliance was met at all times.

We handled more than 50 individual applications for this particular business, sponsored migrants and their family members to date and instructions are ongoing.

We also assisted on other matters as they arose such as; licence renewal, adding a tier to their existing licence to allow for ICT transfers from their HQ in Japan on an urgent basis and advised on the effects of an acquisition of another UK entity and the implications this will have on their sponsored workers with TUPE arrangements.

We have built a great rapport with the client and the client has renewed their contract for 3 consecutive years now.

“Following approval of their Sponsor Licence the client continued to instruct in relation to sponsoring care workers. We also provided ongoing training on how to use the SMS system, assignment of CoS and overall compliance related issues.”

We represented a large provider of care home services in London specialising in working with those in need and their families who require social care in their own home by offering unique services of tailored care visits which range from check – in visits to full live in support. The company has more than 200 employees assisting those in need. We were instructed to apply for a sponsorship licence due to the company initially being severely impacted by Brexit where they lost a lot of care workers who originated from the EU and decided to return to their home countries. The company had numerous vacant positions that needed to be filled with care workers on an imminent basis.

The company was advised and assisted regarding the preparation of the sponsorship licence application. We advised the company of all the necessary compliance issues and the relevant supporting documents needed to assess the application. Some of the supporting documents were industry specific and the client was advised accordingly.

We prepared details representations in support of the application where the sponsorship licence application was successful within a short period of time. The client’s expectations were met where they are now confident regarding compliance with the necessary duties and responsibilities following bespoke legal advice.

Following approval of the licence the client continued to instruct in relation to sponsoring care workers. We also provided ongoing training on how to use the SMS system, assignment of CoS and overall compliance related issues. The client will continue to instruct in terms of receiving services for care worker visa applications and assignment of CoS. They indicated that they wanted us to become their Level 1 user so we can manage their SMS system.

“The Arts Council accepted the client should receive endorsement and provided this for a Global Talent Visa. Our client is now in the UK developing their business.”

We represented an experienced curator and a leading individual in the promotion of artists involved in social justice and global futures. We acted for her in a Global Talent Visa application in the Arts and Culture Sector. Although not a practising artist, we made arguments to the Arts Council that, as a curator, she had a role akin to an artist and should be treated as such in an endorsement assessment. The Arts Council accepted this and endorsed this client for a Global Talent Visa. Our client is now in the UK developing their business.
