For your ease of reference, here is a brief summary of the main requirements for the entrepreneur and investor visa:

For an entrepreneur visa, the applicant will need to:

• Have access to a minimum of £200,000 or more;

• Fulfil the “genuine entrepreneur” test;

• Pass an English language test;

• Demonstrate sufficient maintenance; and

• Pass a TB test (only applicable in some countries).

For an investor visa, the applicant will need to:

• Have access to a minimum of £1,000,000 or more;

• Demonstrate where the funds came from (if applicable); and

• Pass a TB test.

Please note that each case is unique in their own way and in order for us to provide a detailed list of requirements for a particular client, we will first need to assess their personal circumstances before giving our bespoke advice.

Increasingly, we have found that, although clients generally meet the requirements, they often struggle with knowing which paperwork is required to support their application. The UK Home Office are quite particular in what is considered “acceptable” under the Immigration Rules, therefore, often, we find that our clients are particular appreciative of the fact that we provide the necessary templates and check all the documents before submission.

As a leading UK immigration law firm, we prepare legal representation on behalf of our clients. This is our “legal protection” in a document that is letter-headed and signed by one of our Senior Lawyers, confirming the quality and merits of the application. The legal representations set out the requirements of the law and address each point separately, highlighting the reasons why you meet the requirements to the Entry Clearance Office.

Westkin Associates invite you to contact our offices on +44(0)207 118 8005 or at info@westkin.com to arrange an initial conversation with one of our Senior Lawyers, who will be able to assess your eligibility for either the Tier 1 (Investor) or Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa.

Should you also require any other services before and during your stay in the UK, please do contact us as we can link you with experts who handle property relocation, setting up a business in the UK, accountancy and tax matters, amongst an array of other services offered within our extensive network.
