Meet our Filipino immigration team working for you

Mr. James Canlas has previously participated in an internship at the Supreme Court of the Philippines under, the then Supreme Court Justice, Renato Corona, following this placement he started at Westkin Associates.

After reading law and achieving an Upper Second Class honours, James later obtained postgraduate diploma in legal practice at the prestigious University of Law of England and Wales (formerly the College of Law). He started working as a paralegal at a West London law firm and subsequently commenced paralegal work for two silver circle city law firms in London.

We cover all U.K immigration issues that can be broadly divided between immigration for personal reasons and immigration for business.  Amongst some of the areas we have experience of working with the Filipino community in include Tier 2 (General) visas (often with healthcare workers and engineers), Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visas and finally Filipinos who are looking to change from their student visa to a Tier 2 (General) visa.  In regards to personal immigration matters, we are experienced in representing applicants who seek marriage and civil partnership visas, asylum cases as well as European Union free movement cases.
