How Are Westkin Associates Experts In the Media?

Westkin Associates – Experts In the Media

What do you mean?

As leading experts on Immigration Westkin Associates are regularly contacted by journalist and member of the media to provide our expert advice. Our lawyers have regularly appeared on live TV, Radio and pre-recorded documentaries or new stories, both nationally and internationally. We are also frequently contacted for comments for news article when there is a new interesting immigration topic or scandal being discussed. As a result Westkin have become one of the key expert voices in UK Immigration matters.

That’s cool, any examples?

There are too many to mention in this blog however some stand out media appearances include, a detained interview with Vice Media regarding the petition to ban Donald Trump from coming to the UK.

Our experts have recently appeared on several breakfast Radio shows to provide breaking news comments and expertise to millions of people. From the talkRADIO’s show with well know journalist and broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer in the UK, to Mike Hosking’s breakfast show in New Zealand.

Westkin has also commented on the impact of travel bans against artist and performers to the UK because the Home Office have deemed their art as being a danger to the UK public, such as the case of US rapper Tyler the Creator.

We have been featured in several News segments as experts on specific topics, ranging from the rights of EU nationals following Brexit, to the plight of Asylum seekers and those fleeing persecution or just experts on certain visas such as the Tier 1 Investor visa aka the Golden Visa. Some of these include ITV (UK), BBC (UK), RT (International), Channel 5 (UK) Channel 4 (UK).

Last but not least our own Westkin Youtube channel has amassed thousands of views over the years thanks to our regular breakdown videos, this is where one of our Lawyers takes a topic such as a visa or appeals process and gives the audience a clear breakdown how how it works so they are fully informed (although please don’t judge us on the production quality, we are only lawyers after all!).

Why do you do it ?

Why we do it is for a number of reasons, firstly as immigration lawyers our jobs are to stand up for migrants and to ensure the Government are held accountable for scandals that demonstrates abuse or lack of correct application of the law. Although we do not make the laws, the pressure that we provide, together with other experts, campaigners and members of parliament has a real world effect for creating a better and more fair immigration system.

Secondly it is important for clients to be aware that there are trusted Immigration firms that know what they are talking about and are willing to stand up against injustices, furthermore particularly with our Visa breakdown series on Youtube, we believe that the more clients are informed the better they can protect themselves against poor Home Office decisions and other types of immigration scams that can affect migrants. As the famous quote says “Knowledge is power”, so call us and test our knowledge!
